Ceramic Mug Painting with Pey Chi

Pey Chi will be teaching you how to paint your own ceramic mug! Each participant will get to design and hand paint a pre made mug that Pey Chi will then kindly glaze and fire for you after the workshop, which you will then be able to collect and enjoy.

This workshop will be focus on creativity for joy, mental wellbeing and social connection and will include mindfullness and art as therapy practices. All are welcome at any skill level!

Pey Chi, 佩绮, not Pey, but Pey Chi - was born in the year of the dog (1994) to immigrant Malaysian Chinese parents. Pey Chi is of Hakka and Hokkien descent - something that she's had to work hard to be proud of. A multi-disciplinary "bad bitch" whose practice spans ceramics, stick n poke tattys and illustration. Pey Chi has been chronically ill with Topical Steroid Withdrawal since 2014. It’s her aim to build an arts practice that is built on integrity, that is unafraid of colour, that brings brightness into the world - for herself, but for others too.
