About the event
In this 4 hour mental health and mindfulness orientated workshop you will learn how to weave as a creative mental health outlet. Come join us for an afternoon of creativity and self care and leave with a woven wall hanging created with love by you.
This workshop is a part of Mossfolk's 'Mindful Making' workshop series. The Mindful Making workshop series explores how engaging in creative practices can have a positive affect on ones mental health. These workshops provide the knowledge and skills needed to engage in creativity as a mental health outlet. During our 'Mindful Making' workshops you will not only learn a new creative skill/hobby, you will also learn the techniques and practices such as mindfulness, meditation and art as therapy. You will leave our Mindful Making workshops with a new creative skill/hooby as well as mindfullness, meditation and art as therapy techniques that you can impliment into your daily self care routine. This workshop will also focus on the positive affect that social connection can have on ones mental health.
This workshop includes:
- All materials will be provided
- Afternoon tea and beverages will be provided (please advise of any dietary requirements)
- Take home resources
- You will leave with your own woven wall hanging as well as resources to continue weaving as a creative outlet.
